Basic of Photogrammetry 2

Basic of Photogrammetry 2 In-Person

Basic of Photogrammetry 1 (PG1):  This is a two-part workshop.  In this first session, you'll learn the basic concepts of close range digital photography (shutter speed, aperture, and ISO controls) to build 3D models of analog objects using photogrammetry as well as the basics of photogrammetric processing using Agisoft Metashape.  We will have laptops, DSLR cameras, lenses, lightboxes, and software for participant use.  An up to date Android or Apple iPhone with Bluetooth is recommended, but not required.  Prerequisite(s):  None

Basic of Photogrammetry 2 (PG2):  In this second session of Basics of Photogrammetry, we will use supplied photographs taken with calibrated scales to build a simple 3D model of a Greek Cycladic Figurine and, if time allows, a Triceratops Toe.  This session will focus on the hands-on processing in Agisoft Metashape to build a 3D model from start to finish.  Prerequisite(s):  PG1

Basic of Photogrammetry 3 (PG3):  Offered depending on demand.  This is a third session following PG1 and PG2.  In this session, we will take digital photos of an object based on participant interest and build the model using Agisoft Metashape.  We will also cover basic file management principles as well as options for sharing content on the web and 3D printing.   Prerequisite(s):  PG1 and PG2.
