What to Expect

Lose yourself in a 360° universe of music, lasers, and creative play. The UW Planetarium dome becomes a living canvas—part dance floor, part immersive art installation, with pop-up makerspace activities, interactive visuals, and plenty of space to create and connect.

Music & Visual Headliners

Andrews Brislin (Lambent Visuals)
Multi-disciplinary artist, video & post-production specialist is based in Boulder. Performing as Lambent Visuals, Andrew crafts live‐mixed visuals, projection mapping, audio design, and immersive imagery. His work is all about the lens, pixel, audio & composition, pulling you into alternate realms with light and motion. 

For his DJ set: expect a chill house + break beat soundscape.

DJ Shotty Otter

DJ & producer skilled at scratching, cutting, remixing. His set will bring everything from Drum & Bass (DnB), breakbeats, techno-inflected bass music. This Shotty Otter will also perform a signature laser show built around the dome’s architecture. Think high contrast light, LED highlights, immersive beams, all synced with beats that push you to move.

Local DJ/VJ Support Artists

  • Solo Loop – Delivering a fun, energetic TechHouse, House and Experimental set. He brings the groove, good times, and dancefloor energy.   • Space Raven – Planetarium VJ and light-sculptor weaving cosmic color palettes and reactive space visuals that dance with the beat. Space Raven is undergraduate Amelia Myers of Snohomish, Washington, a double major in astrophysics and physics.
  • Jane daPain – Live dome curator, projection-mapping wizard, and developer of the dome’s experimental performance computer.
  • CypherX – Resident dome technician, visual programming guru.

Extras

  • Makerspace Activities — Create, build, explore… we provide the supplies for you to make something creative and explore the technology in the SciDIY Makerspace.
  • Dancing in the Dome — The whole structure becomes your playground: visuals, lasers, sound enveloping you as you dance.
  • Snacks & Drinks — Enjoy our alcohol-free snack bar or if you are 21+ enjoy our Open Bar.

Show up early, linger late, and discover a secret world of music and light at the dome, at our little late-night rave tucked beneath the Physical Sciences Building.
