The workshop lecture will start at 9:00 am and end around 12:30 pm. It will introduce the concept of parallel computing and code optimization before diving into parallelism in MATLAB with parfor, parfeval, and parsim. Next, scaling options are introduced with discussion about GPUs, cluster and cloud computing and the workflow of submitting to these resources. Users then move to the self-paced section. The second part of the workshop focuses on running Matlab jobs on CPU and GPU within the University of Wyoming high performance computing cluster. A debugging and troubleshooting section is included at the end. After a break for lunch, the afternoon will be spent in 1-on-1 coaching sessions until 5 PM.
